The Malawi Trade Portal is a website that was launched in July 2016 to provide information includes steps and documentation that traders need to fulfill in order to clear their products for import or export. Access to correct information is one of the barriers to trade in Malawi. Such information includes procedures to make trading across borders easier and legal provisions that would facilitate correct decision making. Advance access to such information would save time and money while ensuring compliance with cross-border trade requirements.

This short survey seeks to determine the extent to which the MTP has reduced time and cost of doing trade across borders since its launch.
